Jonah Lomu may have become an unwitting publicity agent for organ donation.
The superstar has made headlines throughout the rugby world saying he needs a kidney transplant, or he faces life in a wheelchair.
Auckland kidney transplant recipient Cecil Lochan says he has a lot of concern for people like Jonah, but he says there are a lot of ordinary people in a similar predicament.

Mr Lochan advises Jonah Lomu to have confidence in himself and think positively during the transplant process.
He says finding out your kidney has failed is like having your world shatter around you.
Cecil Lochan waited two years for a kidney, received one in the year 2000, and today, although he must continue to be disciplined and take anti-rejection drugs, he says he feels he has a new life.
